New benchmarks in press-fit section technologies

Many years of experience in the area of press-fit sections, millions of punched products and an excellent competence in tool making allow us, to implement previously unmatched product features of this contact technology.
The known issues with press-in and -out forces as well as chip formations are fixed. The customized use of different materials is no obstacle.

The 'UniPress' press-fit sections are resistant to temperature and corrosion. The requirements of DIN/IEC 60352-5 are easily met and are established by an independent test institute.

This customer benefit allows to use the technology such as pins for PCB ports. Among other things, the critical soldering is no longer used. This technology now allows the use of  insulating materials with lower temperature resistance subject to all environmental regulations.

'UniPress' contacts are press-fitted simply and easily and and can be application-specific designed and combined. The contacts are both loosely falling as a band or endless carrier tape produced and delivered.

All of Unimet produced contacts with press-fit section will be 100% camera-checked within the production line. The press-fit section can be run with customized surface combinations.
